Menus at The Lovat are characterised by the best in local produce.  Dishes are cooked with passion, flair and dedication by our kitchen team, who show a remarkable determination to continually improve on the dining experiences of our customers.

Our kitchen holds two AA rosettes and has been led by Chef Sean Kelly since March 2011.  Sean is subtly ambitious & adventurous in his creativity.  He is personally arduous with a resilient strive for perfection.  More recently, he worked at Abstract, Edinburgh, where he won Scottish Restaurant Chef of the Year 2008.  However, prior to that he worked with Tom Lewis at Loch Lomond’s famous Monachyle Mhor.

The Restaurant

This traditional oak panelled room that overlooks to the surrounding hills, offers a more refined dining experience, appealing to those who fancy a slower pace that allows you to really soak up the atmosphere – delighting and savouring each course.

And with a 5 course-menu on offer, you can be sure the Restaurant is a dining experience to remember.

Open 5 days a week, Easter – 31st October
7:00pm – 9:00pm (Tuesday – Saturday)

Table d’hote menu at £45.00 per person

The Brasserie

With a more modern and contemporary ambience, the Brasserie is the perfect place to have a quick bite to eat in the open conservatory, or to enjoy a relaxing 3 course meal in the chilled out alcoves.  The Brasserie offers lunch as well as dinner & also caters for children.

Open 7 days a week (except in January when it is open Tuesday – Saturday)

6:00pm – 9:00pm

Main Dining Room

Open for breakfast and private events, our light, bright and traditional dining room suits the character of our Victorian hotel beautifully.

This room is available to book for private events such as corporate functions, birthday parties, weddings and other special occasions.
