What to expect when you bring your pets
Hate the thought of leaving your pets behind when you go on holiday? Stay at The Lovat in Fort Augustus, near Loch Ness, and you won’t have to save goodbye.
We have a bedroom that’s designed for guests who would like to bring their pets on the trip to the Highlands. This room – a studio double bedroom located in our purpose-built annexe – is suitable for either two small pets or one large pet.

Our guest room for visitors with pets is equipped with a food bowl and a food bowl mat.
Each pet is charged at £6.50 per night. Please let us know if you would like us to arrange your pet’s favourite food for your arrival or any other additional treats.
Your pet is able to accompany you in the bar area. However, out of courtesy for our other guests, we do not expect pets to be in the bar area during meal service.
Pets are welcome to use the ground but please remove any mess they may create.
Breakfast is served in the main dining room, so we kindly ask that any pets are not left unattended in the bedroom but housed in the car during this time.
Although The Lovat accommodates pets, we would rather not be considered pet friendly as pets do not have access to all areas.
