With its own private entrance through the hotel, this traditional oak paneled dining room overlooks the surrounding hills and offers a slower pace that allows you to really soak up the atmosphere. Sean will take you on a surprise ride of his creative choice: flipping your expectations backwards; toying with your preconceived ideas on how the dish will look; to offer you a seriously FUN dining experience. And with a set 5 course taster menu on offer, you can be sure the Restaurant is a dining experience to remember.
In 2014, Station Road was proud to win ‘Best Restaurant Experience in the Highlands’ at the Food & Drink Awards and ‘Best Restaurant in the Highlands’ at the Tourism Awards. Our kitchen also holds three AA rosettes and has been led by Chef Sean Kelly since March 2011. Sean is subtly ambitious & adventurous in his creativity. He is personally arduous with a resilient strive for perfection. More recently, he worked at Abstract, Edinburgh, where he won Scottish Restaurant Chef of the Year 2008, as well as being Head Chef for Tom Lewis at Loch Lomond’s famous Monachyle Mhor. Prior to that, Sean was abroad gaining experience in Corsica, Italy and France. He was pastry chef at Berties, under Albert Roux and second chef at the Michelin starred restaurants – La Table du Baltimore and Le Drouant.
