Here at the Lovat, we had the pleasure of being part of the Daimler SP250 sixtieth anniversary tour of Scotland. Starting on 4th May, the seven-day round trip of the Scottish Highlands began at the Crieff Hydro hotel in Perthshire. On their travels the group witnessed some of the most amazing sights that the Highlands have to offer. From the woodlands of Aberfeldy to the mountains of Glen Coe, the Glenfinnan railway viaduct to the Commando memorial at Spean Bridge before returning to their point of origin for a celebratory dinner.
Part of the group stayed with us at the Lovat for two nights during their tour, using the Lovat as their base and the Brasserie and Waypoint Bar as their fuel as they toured the Isle of Skye and surrounding areas. With the beautiful weather we were having at the time and the beautiful cars all lined up in the car park – this made a spectacle and encouraged many photo opportunities.
As guests, they were enthusiastic, a pleasure to have with us for those couple of days. We hope you’ll drop in when you’re next in the highlands.
