Our Waypoint bar staff pride themselves on their knowledge, whether that’s through experience or education.  As we stock a vast selection of whisky, and we’re in a location that is surrounded by some of the world’s best distilleries, taking advantage of distillery tours is a must.  The lovely people at Glenmorangie managed to fit our bar staff in for one of their distillery tours at the beginning of March – and what a great experience it was.

Only 65 miles (105km) from The Lovat, Glenmorangie distillery is worth the visit while staying here in the Scottish Highlands.

In 1843, William Matheson founded the Glenmorangie Distillery in the Scottish Highlands.  Inspired by the Distillery’s peaceful surroundings on the banks of the Dornoch Firth.  Glenmorangie translates to ‘valley of tranquility’ in Scots Gaelic.  Ever since, they have pursued their craft with uncompromising dedication – endlessly creative in the quest for perfection.
