Light up the Highlands 2018
People gathered together on Monday, 3rd December, at The Lovat hotel to be part of the Highland Hospice’s organised local “Light Up The Highlands 2018” Carol Service.
In spite of the crisp air that evening, people came together near the Christmas tree in from of The Lovat hotel and sang carols. The weather might have been cold but the atmosphere created was very warm. After a speech, the lights on the Christmas tree were lit and people continued their celebrations in the Drawing room with hot drinks, biscuits and mince pies.
What is “Light Up The Highlands”?
Light up the Highlands is a very special event that allows communities to gather around their local Hospice tree and celebrate the lives of their family, friends and neighbours; lights on trees can be dedicated to people special to you, some who may no longer be with us, others in celebration of the years’ events such as the birth of a new baby.
Highland Hospice invites all to dedicate a light on the tree, accompanied by a donation that will help provide care for Hospice patients and their families during this special time of year.
Highland Hospice is delighted that nineteen venues Highland-wide have united in this festive season through these Carol Services to “Light Up The Highlands”.
