As part of the Lovat lock down, we have turned ourselves into a mini takeaway and delivery business.  The Lovat Loch Ness is now expanding our meals to offer a curry on alternative Thursday nights until lock down ends.

On Thursday, 30th April 2020, we’ll be celebrating India.  Curry originated in the Indian subcontinent and the word comes from the Indian Tamil word “Kari” meaning a sauce or soup to be eaten with rice.  Curry consists of a mix of spices.  Coriander, turmeric, cumin and red chilies are almost always a constant.

This Indian curry takeaway meal is based on Sean & Caroline’s experiences in Goa and we will recreate lightly spiced dishes with lots of flavour to give you the taste of Incredible India.  Considering we are not an Indian restaurant (!) we have put together a tasting meal which we hope you will find interesting.  If demand dictates over the coming weeks, then we can look to expanding our selection.

A meal for 1 person is at £10 and consists of:

butter chicken; vegetable masala; dal fry; chapati (2); poppadom; boiled rice; and onion bhaji (2)

Vegetarian – For those who do not eat chicken this can be substituted with paneer and cauliflower.

Thursday night sees the nation #clapforourcarers.  So we thought we would support our local community care home.  With each meal sold on Thursday night, we’ll donate £1.00 to the Telford Centre.  After lock down we’ll calculate the total sum and then present the care home with the proceeds to show our appreciation.  A thank you to all those carers looking after those in need – elderly and vulnerable.

If you are interested in having a curry, please get in touch with Caroline on 01456 459250 or email to place your order.

Due to high demand, these meals are available on pick up only from our hotel main entrance porch, 5:00pm – 7:30pm at allocated times.

When we reopen properly we look forward to welcoming you all to the Brasserie.
