Who are they?

A family run business since 1968, running boat trips on Loch Ness for 1.5 million (and counting) passengers. They told us that “we’re not a business, we’re a family and we really do have the best job and office in the world. We can’t wait to welcome you on board one of our vessels.”

Where are they?

Situated at the southwest end of Loch Ness in Fort Augustus, Cruise Loch Ness is just a five minute walk from The Lovat’s front door.

What do they offer?

Cruise Loch Ness has been giving passengers an alternative view of Loch Ness since 1968. Boasting a fleet of boats, they are able to offer a variety of different experiences – whether you’re looking for a gentle cruise or a fast RIB ride.

River to Sea Scotland

Who are they?

A dedicated team of experienced and qualified kayaking and canoe guides.

Where are they?

River to Sea Scotland is a mobile operation based out of Spean Bridge. River Oich is one of their popular locations, which is just two miles from The Lovat.

What do they offer?

Guided paddling trips in the Scottish Highlands, from Sea Kayaking on the West Coast to inland loch and river-based canoe journeys. They also provide an ultimate white-water experience in inflatable river kayaks. For those with previous paddling experience, they offer canoe and kayak hire.

The Highland Soap Company Visitor Centre

Highland Soap Company

Who are they?

A local, family-run business that makes organic soap and skincare products in its workshop at the foot of Ben Nevis.

Where are they?

Based in Fort William, The Highland Soap Company is a beautiful 45 minute drive south of The Lovat through the Great Glen.

What do they offer?

Set in 6 acres of parkland, The Highland Soap Company’s workshop is open to the public for tours and soap-making workshops and has the gorgeous Larder Café.

PeachieNess

Wine glasses

Who are they?

A local, family-run business established in 2019 lead by director & designer, Sarah Peach.

Where are they?

A quaint corner shop based in the centre of Invermoriston – just six miles from The Lovat, north on the A82.

What do they offer?

Sarah is known for being the designer of the original Loch Ness Monster in a Glass amongst other items, all of which are sold at their Invermoriston shop. PeachieNess also sells local crafts, Loch Ness Honey, delicious coffee, homemade pastries and a selection of Scottish alcohol.

Who are they?

A family-run business specialising in fresh food and locally sourced produce.

Where are they?

Based in Invermoriston just off the A82, at the beginning of the long and winding A887 road to Skye – just six miles from The Lovat.

What do they offer?

Creating and serving a delicious breakfast and lunch menu, as well as homemade cakes and sweet treats.
