The Lovat Loch Ness Hotel at CIS Excellence Awards 2018
On Thursday, 31st May The Lovat hotel’s team attended the CIS Excellence Awards 2018 dinner at the Double Tree Hilton hotel in Glasgow as a shortlisted finalist in the prestigious category – Independent Hotel of The Year. The Lovat hotel competed with The Dunstane House in Edinburgh and The Douglas Hotel on the Isle of Arran.
Here’s the summary from the CIS Excellence Awards 2018 that mentions the reasons the judges felt that The Lovat hotel fitted the category of Independent Hotel of the Year.
“Using a blend of innovation and dynamism the hotel has developed new markets with creative use of: social media; Business Development Missions; website development; and marketing plans. The team, of 21 permanent passionate and professional individuals, hold customer service as a core driver for business success, balanced by a high regard for their own personal development, mental health and wellbeing. Sustainability awareness involves a strong biodiversity and carbon management plan reducing carbon emissions by 15% and as well as in-house procedures, the hotel also donates 15p to Trees for Life, for every hotel bed night, using this as a teambuilding opportunity. The Lovat is the only 4 star property on Loch Ness and hotel owners, Caroline and Sean, are driving an incredible customer experience within Scotland, working closely with local businesses and the local school to promote hospitality in the Highlands.”
The winner of The Independent Hotel of the Year 2018 is The Douglas Hotel on the Isle of Arran. Our warmest congratulations to the winners!
We are proud to be a finalist and are happy to be well recognised by our colleagues in the hospitality field and by our guests who we value a lot!
