Etape Loch Ness cycle event

On Sunday, 26th April Etape Loch Ness cycle event is a 66 mile (106km) cycle around the iconic Loch Ness on traffic free roads. This event will attract 5600 cyclists from across Scotland and the UK. The 360° route starts and ends in Inverness, the Highland capital. There is also a timed King of the Mountain stage, leaving Fort Augustus. A 4.8 mile (9km) climb gaining 380m in height and at times with a gradient reaching 12%. A record 5600 took part in the 2019 event.
If you’re thinking of taking part – general and priority entry for the 2020 Etape Loch Ness has SOLD OUT due to record levels of demand. Places are still available by joining Team Macmillan, subject to event capacity. All cyclists who join Team Macmillan are asked to raise a minimum of £150 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
If you’re thinking of spectating, the cyclist pass through Drumnadrochit, Invermoriston, Fort Augustus, Foyers / Inverfarigaig, Dores, and Inverness. You can find expected spectator times here.
The cyclists will start at approximately 6:15am. They are expected to cross the finish line at the event hub, Eden court Theatre, Inverness between 9:00am – 1pm.
