Ever since Instagram became a must have app, we’ve all become amateur photographers. Taking pictures of everything from your morning view, to what you’re eating for dinner. In a positive light, it’s all given us the artistic eye to stop, notice, and try to capture the beauty that we normally pass by. There aren’t many places in the UK better than the Scottish Highlands to appreciate your surroundings and if you like taking pictures, this event is for you.
Visit Inverness Loch Ness are holding a Photomarathon event on 29th Feb 2020. A one-day photography adventure for all your friends and family. There are 6 themes and your challenge will be to take 1 picture for each theme. There are no set locations, your pictures can be taken anywhere in the Inverness Loch Ness area so you can explore far and wide to get the best pictures. All you need to do is register before the day and pay £10 entry fee. On the day, sign in after 10am at Highland Archive Centre with your digital camera or smart phone. Once you’ve got your 6 pictures, you will need to upload them at the Highland Archive Centre before 4pm with help from Visit Inverness Loch Ness staff if needed.
When you sign in on the day you will also receive a wristband which will entitle you to discounts on the day to several independent cafes and restaurants. Also, the Visit Inverness Loch Ness 2021 calendar will be created from the 13 most popular images voted by members and social media followers.
